Welcome to Pazzo di Pozzo, a slightly mad life in the Umbrian hills.
It started with one impulsive idea: buy an old house in Italy. No masterplan, no grand business strategy, just a feeling that we wanted to make something of our own.

Then came the olive trees. In October 2024 we found ourselves knee-deep in nets, armed with electric rakes and very little idea what we were doing. We picked our olives, took them to the local mill and came home with our first tins of bright green, peppery Umbrian olive oil. Pazzo di Pozzo was born.

Since then we’re slowly restoring our house and land in the tiny village of Pozzo, growing vegetables, looking after our olive trees, making things, cooking, designing, building and learning how life works in this corner of Italy. We make our own small-batch olive oil, create ceramics and objects around it, and open our home, Casa Rovescia, to people who want to experience Umbria a little more slowly.

Pazzo di Pozzo is not about chasing perfection. It’s about getting your hands dirty, trying things before you know exactly how they work, eating ridiculously well, inviting people over, making beautiful things and occasionally having a cocktail in the olive grove when there is still far too much work to do.

Our oil is still at the heart of it all, hand-picked from our own trees, pressed locally and made in tiny quantities. Fresh, grassy and unapologetically peppery. Pour it over bread, vegetables, pasta, chocolate mousse or vanilla ice cream. We won’t judge.

And the Mad Man? He’s still here. A reminder not to take any of this too seriously, and to follow the slightly crazy ideas every now and then.
